"To hell with facts! We need stories!"
- Ken Kesey
What We Do
Simply put: we make theatre. We like visceral, story-driven theatre with a sense of immediacy, and we have a particular interest in finding new ways to tell old stories; whether this be through radical interpretations of classic plays, new adaptations of bygone tales, or original writing that explores familiar themes. We are a young company, run by young people, working with a mix of professional, aspiring professional, and community theatre makers. In many ways we are still finding our own unique theatrical voice, and we hope you'll join us for the journey.
Where Do We Do It
We're based in the historic market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Bury has a rich and fascinating history and is full of well preserved examples of medieval, Tudor, Regency, Victorian, and Edwardian buildings. The town is also steeped in stories and folklore which often inform and inspire our work. We like to perform in unusual spaces and are always hunting for venues that are off the beaten path - our very first production was staged at The Guildhall, one of the oldest public buildings in the country. We're very lucky to be working in a town with so many vibrant and diverse cultural opportunities and a supportive and enthusiastic community to boot!
